It is very interesting to read all these posts. Kevin and Shri puts a lot of efforts in it. For us who live outside of Canada and the US, would it be possible to have the relevant URL on these posts, so we can watch them by the click of the button? I am talking about on a selective basis, the ones worth watching or even part of it.

Does anyone know? How much longer is it on the television? Can we guess, who will be the winner?

The links I found are near the beginning of this thread and the new episodes should be posted each week along with out takes. Found it - http://www.nbc.com/The_Celebrity_Apprentice/

Hi Shri,

Unfortunately, Beat and I can't watch the full episodes from the official NBC.com site since it's only available to residents of the US. Beat is in the UK so his only option would be to catch the show on YouTube.

Beat, you can watch Episode 8 here http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... arch_type=

Good God - Celebrity Apprentice

Postby TheRainmaker » Tue Feb 26, 2008 1:38 pm

Piers is explaining to Trump the difference between nibbling and biting? My God. This is what TV we have to look forward to??

I wish they would go back to being more business focused and less celebrity focussed. I think moving forward all the teams should donate their proceeds to charity, as an act of tithing. Plus, I would love to have them do a follow up show on all the winners who are now supposed to be working at the Trump organization.

One of the things I thought has been missing from day one, Season 1 is a real analysis on what worked and what didnt work in each case study. I know one of the local universities was running a class using the Apprentice as a case study - but that actually would be interesting.

I think the teams should have to present their overall strategy and tactics to the executive team and analysis the strengths and weaknesses. Some of our best products have come from our greatest blunders! That would be interesting and I dont think it would compete with Venture. ;0)

They are doing a bath gel commercial this week and it will be different. the models appeared to get carried away with Carol. For weeks she's been under the radar, now they have her under a sheet or a towel. It is Donald Trump after all.

I like the idea of analyzing the strategy and the plan that was used. That is - one the weeks when they really have one. Some blogs were set up in the beginning to analyze the projects. That would be productive and useful television - definitely not the goal of reality TV -- unfortunately.

That's a good point. Thank goodness I only watch TV as a form of entertainment and mindlessness. I think it only erks me so much because I see how much potential it could really have.

i think I will go back to watching Criminal Minds or Special Victims Unit. That way I get a weekly dose of justice and I feel better. ;0)

Hi Jude,

I think it's interesting how in the first season of "The Apprentice", the women's team was dominating by using their sex appeal to win tasks. But then in later seasons, the men's team would always go on to early winning streaks and the women would tear one another a part.

The Celebrity Apprentice - Episode 9

Postby Kevin Lee » Fri Feb 29, 2008 12:11 pm

This week's episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice" was probably the best one to date because a) the task was being judged by executives and b) more than one person was responsible for the loss.

Some of the things that stood out for me this week were:

1.) Omarosa suggesting that she lead the team, only to retract the offer the minute Trump brought up the high likelihood that the losing PM would be fired.

2.) Carol's strength in the game. When she’s not flying under the radar and actually steps up as PM like in the "Crocs" task, it’s like no one can beat her.

3.) Tito's nervousness during his presentation was very uncomfortable to watch since he was forgetting things and pacing too much. In fact, I had to look away because I felt so bad for him. Like Mr. Trump, I too was very surprised at Tito's weakness in this area especially when you think of how he normally "performs" and speaks in front of sold out arenas of 20,000+ people, not to mention the millions of viewers watching from home.

4.) Lastly, I almost fell off my chair when Tito said he'd exonerate Omarosa if he had the choice. He might’ve been able to save his own skin had he named Trace and called out Omarosa for chickening out of being PM.

In the end, firing Tito was the right choice since he decided to go with Stephen's conservative idea, although both Stephen and Omarosa could've been scapegoats as well.

And for the record, I'm going to have to stop making Celebrity Apprentice predications, since I keep getting them wrong, haha

The Celebrity Apprentice - Episode 10

Postby Kevin Lee » Fri Mar 07, 2008 12:48 am

Looks like Thursday night might have to be renamed "Garbage Day" as Trump finally took out the trash by firing Omarosa

While I didn't like how Piers' team won again with his rolodex of contacts, Omarosa's team deserved to lose especially when they only sold 3 of 20 pieces of lower valued art and because Stephen allowed Carol to steal his only contact.

Moreover, just when you thought Omarosa couldn't get any worse, she stooped to a new low when she questioned Piers' sexuality in the boardroom, rather than trying to defend her poor leadership performance. Piers had a good comeback though, but I'm really surprised he didn't hit Omarosa on the head :)

Any ways, now that all the dead weight is gone from the competition, perhaps now we can see who will truly shine!

I've been fighting a bad migraine for 4 days, but when Omarosa was fired, I cheered. It hurt the head very badly, but I was thrilled to see her gone :)

That project was a devastating loss - and it couldn't have happened to a more "deserving" project manager. I felt bad for Trace and Steven, but I think they will be glad she's gone too :) I thought the way Omarosa kept hounding that one guy was ridiculous. Let the man have some time to think about it and work on some other sales. Even if he was interested in the beginning, I was happy to see him turn her down and her sales pitch was SOOOOOO desperate.

I don't agree with Piers just calling his friends to buy things, but in sales you use what you have and he has a contact list. Its a shame they did so many of that sort of projects this season -- I don't think it added to the show in any real way. Maybe one or two weeks that would've been fun to watch - but not this often.

Omarosa was just shameful all the way around and who would've thought, without watching the previews - that she would find another way to attach Piers. I thought he was going to knock her in head - wish he had. Of course, a piece of plaster hitting her in the head was when she become so ridiculous the first time she was on the show. That was sad and pathetic.

It will be so refreshing NOT to see Omarosa next week.

Hi Shri,

I agree with you that we can't fault Piers for using his connections to win, but I think this week's episode would've been so much better had they not been allowed to invite their contacts to purchase art. The Celebrity Apprentice contestants should've been restricted to only sell to people who randomly visited the gallery on that night (just like in the 1st season of "The Apprentice").

Normally I would agree with that - but it sure was fun watching someone (even Piers) decimate Omarosa :) Beating is not a strong enough description of that loss.

The Celebrity Apprentice - Episode 11

Postby Kevin Lee » Fri Mar 14, 2008 12:07 am

This week was Lennox's "Champ Sandwich" (i.e. turkey and cheddar cheese) VS Trace's "Prime Rib Cowboy Club" (i.e. chipotle mago, sautéed onions, prime rib, mozzarella cheese and bacon spices). In the end, Lennox's team sold 313 to Trace's 253 Quizno Sammies.

Here are some of my after thoughts on the show:

1.) Winning this week's task was more about marketing and location (of their respective Quizno stores) as opposed to developing an original product. For $2, people could care less what their Quizno Sammies were made of just so long as a big star like Lennox Lewis was outside the shop driving traffic in.

If I was on either team, I would've suggested the use of balloons and a megaphone to draw attention about the promotion like in previous episodes/seasons of the show.

However, I must say that the "Prime Rib Cowboy Club" looked a lot more delicious than the "Champ Sandwich" :P

2.) And since there was already Quizno employees working in the stores why did Carol and Stephen have to help make sandwiches? Wouldn't their talents have been better utilized had they been allowed to help attract more customers from the streets?

While Piers maybe an energetic salesperson, I'd think Carol and her charm would've been a lot more successful at handing out flyers on the streets of NY.

I liked the ingenuity that Trace showed by coming up with a new product - but people are creatures of habit - so there was a certain logic to using an established product. I don't see Trace as the megaphone type and it would've been helpful to have Steven outside to drive into the store, but on each of these projects, someone from the team helps in the kitchen. It would've been interesting to see the teams perform with an equal number of team members.

Trace helped his team by finding a printer close by to print flyers early in the day - while the other team was waiting for theirs to arrive. On the other hand, I have to give Hydra a thumbs up for asking which corners were the busiest. Empressario was out there to get the word out, but we didn't see many people. Steven was the one to go - he did a good job this week, but his enthusiasm has diminished week after week and this is the time in the competition to get fired up -- he isn't in that place.

Trace had a very good point, if they had been in Nashville or many other parts of the country - he wouldn't have any competition. He's just so low key and unassuming - which are great traits and especially in someone that has accomplished so much. But, there is no denying that he has come up with many great ideas throughout the competition :)

Hi Shri,

I think Steven's problem was that he had already won twice for his mom's charitable organization, so he wasn't as "hungry" for the win as someone like Trace.
