Advertising on "The Shopping Channel"

So Evan,

How did you enjoy your experience on "The Shopping Channel"? Do you think it's a good advertising option for entrepreneurs?

I was actually able to catch your ad spot yesterday and I thought it was pretty cool :D ! My only criticism would be that they should've enlarged the pictures of the people who were giving the testimonies and given a small speaking role to your background dancers during the set. The reason I say this is because I feel that it would've added to the "human connection" element you guys were trying to sell.

Selling on the Shopping Channel

Postby Evan » Fri Jan 25, 2008 8:23 am

Thanks Kevin - it certainly was an interesting experience and it was fun to learn about the direct selling via tv model.

The two things we were told afterwards were that the testimonials should have been bigger (as you suggested) and that we should have had older models (nobody under 35) in the background because the demographics of the Shopping Channel are older viewers.
