Rumor Has It!

Postby drdony » Sat May 12, 2012 1:59 am

Rumor Has It! Adele, a great voice

Rumor has it that all your financial (and others) problems can be solved online

Rumor has it that most financial problems can be resolved according to the hype, some in as little as hours, days, weeks, certainly in a few months

Rumor has it that you can earn 2%, 5%, 7% or more per day

Certainly you can add to this short list, but one of my favorites is

Rumor has it "You can quit your full-time 9-5 job" which ranks somewhere up there with "Work Smarter, Not Harder"

I have never has a 9-5 job regardless of whether I was Military, Government, or private enterprise. Every offline Entrepreneur Venture I ever started (about a dozen successful ones) was far more than a 9-5 day, missed lunches and dinners, and throw in some blood sweat and tears, and did I mention the "Where did the Weekend Go?" Or how about " why don't you get a real job?

For our online entrepreneurs there are no shortcuts to success, expect to share the same experiences as the offliners. Offliners are happy breaking even in 1-3 years, if they are realistic, marketable plan.

Because being an entrepreneur is hard work and not a 9-5 job, so many look for the shortcut and fall for the next scam that finds their inbox and give up on their original objectives or passion.

If your believe in yourself, your idea or product - then stick with it, check your commitment, expect obstacles, expect change, (soon as you think you have mastered SEO, someone will change the rules)

BUT above all, Rumor Has it the you need BALANCE in your life

hmmm I am still looking for that one

Great insight and observations on all accounts, Don!

So true. Rumour has it that Internet Marketing is easy and a person will live the good life free from work, worry and stress.

But as you have noted, the life of the true entrepreneur is often far more demanding than a traditional 9-5 day job. As an independent business person, you are responsible for all the decisions you make and all the outcomes your efforts generate.

It is true that you can learn to work smarter, not harder, but it takes quite a learning curve and lots of effort to reach the point of high income. That is true with any business, including online businesses.

For most people, it can be a long journey, so, again as you have noted, balance is the order of the day! We should not neglect other areas of importance in our lives while trying to accelerate our marketing success.

goodness a spammmer!

Thanks for the post GT, Balance can be and is allusive when you are a struggling Entrepreneur

Time management and balance can go out the door when your computer(s) and equipment fail, loss of vital services (online loss of the internet or ISP), weather problems, or problems with suppliers, vendors and even a problem customer,

Add to that the mother-in-law problem "why do you get a real job" or loss of support from your spouse, family and friends

That is a truly painful one! I had a minor computer problem about a week ago right in the middle of a highly productive period for me. Killed my progress and my enthusiasm and made me lose a few hours of time as I worked to resolve the problem.

If you have clear goals and a plan of action that is driving you, you will bounce back. But the stress might also take a few years off your life and another few handfuls of hair that you can barely spare!

Thanks been there since the late 70's when the market was IBM and Victor. Road the Victor while IBM went though 286's and 386's. Do a lot of cannibalization to keep my Victors going

A year ago lost my workstation's hard drive and more recently my operating system due to lightning strikes. Have bought a few computers and modems due to lightning. Take me about a week to recover a hard-drive

Lessons learned: regularly backup your programs and data

When I grow up I hope to get a what u call it "Power Interuptus Device"
