Hi Evan,

My apologies, when I replied to David’s comment last month I was off topic and didn’t realise that I was actually in the Monthly goals section  I must be losing it so by way of penitence I will give you my April goals.

You will see from these that I have been trying to keep two or three balls in the air lately but after April, things should get back to normal and I will be able to give more of my time to my IM work.

1) Agree final design and agree launch day for new training website.
2) Launch new Training Company (and all that involves).
3) Make at least 3 blog posts per week on my IM blog and utilise social networking more than I have done this year especially Google +.

best wishes,

Mal.

All right. Let's see what we can do with April:

April 2012

(Updated, April 2 - I forgot about a scheduled goal - See #4)

Goal #1: Spin and submit previous Internet Marketing articles to directories
- Failed to do this in Feb/March; this WILL be a focus for March!
- Minimum two per week (target min. 10 for month)

Goal #2: Maintain Blog Posting momentum
- Two to three per week, APC site
- Two per week, Warrior Forum blog

Goal #3: Create minimum one new page on my APC site per week

Goal #4: Corporate Client annual project - April-June
- April: Project elements start to trickle in
- (Become intense in May and subside by the middle of June)

Goal #5: Develop my gtbulmer.ca website
- Choose and instal a theme
- Optimize and begin creating content for it

Hi Evan,

Here's an update,

My new training company launched at the start of the new financial year over here which was April 6th.

My new website is on target to be online by the end of the month.

I am on target with my three articles per week to my blog which is not much but that's all I can manage at the moment,

onwards and upwards,

Mal.

Hey, Mal, looks like you are moving right along! Things are moving forward for you and that's what counts. Keep it going!

Here is my April update:

Goal #1: Articles to Article Directories
- Very little progress on this one and I'm not sure why... ? (Maybe because of Goal #2, lol.)

Goal #2: Blog Posting (My site and Warrior Forum Blog section)
- I have been doing AWESOME on this goal!
- But ... this will soon come to a crawl: see Goal #4

Goal #3: New pages on my website
- Oops! Forgot about this one! Thank goodness for this discussion group reminder!

Goal #4: Corporate Client Annual Project
- Today, picked up the first 40 (of approx. 400-500) items to be worked on over the next eight or nine weeks.
- This will be a focus and will impact my ability to work on all other April goals.

Goal #5: Develop my gtbulmer.ca website
- Oh, oh. Time's running out this month. Still not started!

Unlisted project to be started before the end of April: Another corporate client bi-monthly project, due to be completed by the end of May.

I had expected to achieve so much in April in advance of the anticipated corporate projects, but somehow time has slipped away from me. I have been focused and working hard – NOT goofing off at all – so I think the problem is twofold:

First, I have truly focused on producing a blog post every day, alternating between my website and the WF. But I don't just write and post it – I promote each one, too. I post links on my various Twitter accounts, plus on Google+ and on one or two other social sites.

Second, when I post the links on my Twitter accounts and social sites, I don't just post the links and leave. I spend a few minutes on each account following new people and doing some socializing to maintain my presence. This is all time consuming, but (I believe) beneficial to my Internet Marketing business in the long term.

However, it eats up a big part of each day. The benefit has been an improvement in my search engine rankings and in my daily traffic. Unfortunately, that is now going to suffer, over the next two months.

(Long update! Sorry about that ... but I feel better, getting it off my chest, lol!)

Good progress, Mal and GT.

@Mal: Looking forward to seeing your new website!

@GT: You've definitely been making progress with your blogging. I know how you feel when offline work looms on the horizon... or even online jobs that require time out from promoting my website... when it happens I think of myself as being "a victim of my own success"!

I didn't get around to stating my April aims... but have been doing quite well on the blogging front, posting something every day.

Maybe I said somewhere that I wanted to raise my "page view count" to at least 30 per day. Good going until Friday 13th when my page views slipped below 20.

AND...

I just made my second video. This was a "quick and dirty" (excluding the retakes) video made on the fly with the YouTube website webcam record-and-upload facility.

Here's the link: http://wp.me/p27G3h-1XD

I get a bit tangled up with my words in the middle, but what the heck!

Cheers for now!

David

Hi, David: I had a similar experience: I was on a run with consecutive highs, some that I had rarely before seen and a few of them were truly record highs. My goal and my hope was to hit in that range for 14 straight days (two weeks).

Well, on day 14, it dipped below the target! LOL, so close, so close. (I don't recall if that was Friday the 13th or not. My Friday the 13th was another lucky day for a different reason, though: I got to escort my 8-year-old granddaughter to a fundraiser dance at her school and we got to dress up in rocker costumes! She was Lady GaGa and I was "Aging '60s Rocker" - LOL!)

Great start! And that's how I like to look at things, too: set a big goal, make it challenging and then give 'er!
