Hi guys - it's interesting to look at minimum # of visitors. I guess it depends on the business.

For my site Saturday is by far the worst traffic day. It's usually half what my other days are. A minimum # of visits for would just be make sure my Saturday's don't suck :)

You might also get hit by a holiday like Easter where traffic falls but it's not really a big negative since it's a one time thing.

I use overall traffic #'s from month to month and then also compare them to the same month last year to see how things have progressed.

I'm curious to see what other metrics people use beyond the standard ones!

I'm using the Wordpress.com stat counter that comes with the Jetpack plug-in and claims to have "no additional load on your server". It's key metric is "page views" rather than unique visitors.

Yesterday was the second day in a row that I slipped up and failed to publish a new article on my blog since I last reported here.

The result?

Page views hit a monthly LOW of just 10! :(

Up until then I'd been getting daily page views mostly in the 30s-60s bracket. :)

So, fresh content every day does make a difference, especially if you tweet and google+ it! :D

April will be a bit more of a challenge, but I'll try to keep minimum daily page views above 30, and see if I can hit 100+ one day, to beat my all time record of 86...

Hi Evan,

I tend to use Statcounter most of the time as well as Traffic Travis for an overview of general trends. I agree with you that I expect drops on Saturdays, bank holidays etc which I can live with as long as the general figures improve year on year.

Hey David, you are an inspiration but don’t beat yourself up for missing a couple of days now and then  that’s fantastic discipline. I get annoyed with myself if I don’t do two a week !!, maybe I need a to get a lot more bizzy bizzy

regards,

Mal.

Since we started reporting our goals in January, I have been much more diligent in blogging regularly. I try to post on my APC blog every other day, and in my Warrior Forum blog on alternating days. But somehow I got on the track of doing both the same day! (I need to fix that, lol.)

And as you have said, David, it makes quite a difference to be so consistent and also to tweet and G+ the posts.

I check G Analytics every day and look at what I believe to be unique visits, however when I occasionally check Statcounter the numbers are a bit lower. So, I think that maybe in GA I might be seeing some of my own visits, but I'm not sure of that.

Regarding my other March goals ... ... aside from successfully completing my client writing project, I have made little progress on the other items. Maybe in April!

March turned out to be quite a good month after all! I was very cagey about goals at the beginning, so this is a brief report of some milestones that I passed...

* In the end, I got my tax forms in - it was the first time I had to do that as a "sole trader" rather merely "self employed".

* I enjoyed the first week (that I am aware of) where my Internet Marketing business made more money than my online games shop, thanks to pulling in customers via SFI and Tripleclicks and generating repeat business from them. :D

* Grasp-The-Nettle.com has at last emerged as my top earner on Adsense, finally waking up and beating my mahjong site and games-shop site. (My monthly Adsense income is still very little, however, but "more traffic to GTN" is the answer, I think.)

* Although I faltered in the last two days of March, my overall page view stats on GTN are up. Again, the numbers are very small, but I had over 1000 page views in March.

* On March 31st I secured a nice website creation contract here in Hiroshima. (I'll keep you posted.)

===
On the minus side:

* I didn't get around to making a video... still waiting for spring to perk me up on that front!

* Progress on my latest ebook has been stalled by "other stuff"...

Well done on those things that you achieved, GT. I keep track of your article publication schedule via Google+ and it seemed as if new stuff was appearing every day in March!

@Evan: Thank you. Yes, I think March has been a big month for me in moving forward...
