Hi Tobuso,

I'm new to the on-line business myself and what I aim by primarily joining this community, is to know what are the common "challenges" that aspiring net-marketers (such as yourself) are facing.

I have been reading a lot of business blogs in the past couple of weeks and I always seem to come across comments from people that blogging is great for start-ups but not so good for already "established" companies/brand names to be doing. The reason that they usually lean to is that if you don't put good context or hire a good copywriter, you might as well not put up a blog for your website.

Does your business engage in blogging?

Regards,
Emma

Never tried blogging. I have so much to do and prioritizing is very important. So I am doing link building in my spare time and standard direct marketing as my main.

I am a professional Internet marketer. I work as a freelancer right now, but am putting together a host of informational products other Internet marketers can use to promote their business. I hope to be able to quit my freelance work and spend my time promoting my new products as soon as I have them put together.

As for blogging, I suggest anyone who is promoting themselves online get into it. It is a way to improve your search engine rankings, while engaging with your customers and presenting yourself as an expert at the same time.

Thank you so so so much for asking, Evan. I really appreciate it.

I'm going to share some info, it's honest, and hopefully not overwhelming.

Well, I recently re-booted my business, everything from scratch on New Year's Eve. So I could use help in almost any area (spreading the word, collaboration, list-building, conversions, etc.)

I've been very focused on conversions lately, because my attention, interaction, and engagement is pretty awesome.

Ryze's stats for the first two weeks (Very early stages)
580 visits = (36 visits a day = more than 1 person an hour = Ryze Is Attractive)
1693 pageviews = (most people explore ~3 pages on the site = Ryze Is Interesting)
5:33min on site = (people spend time reading and absorbing = Ryze Is Quality)
54% New visitors = (word is spreading, the Ryze Community Is Growing)
26 Posts = (26 posts in 14 days = over 2 posts a day = Ryze Is Quantity)
27,010 Words = (~1000 words per post = Ryze Is Deep)
59 Comments = (more comments than posts = Ryze Is Engaging)

29 Subscribers = (~7% people take action and want more content = Ryze Is Valuable)
22 Commit to my E-course = (~6% are open to 10 inbox lessons = Ryze Is Extra Valuable)
23 people downloaded my free SuccessTips
10 People took my survey
3 People accepted my video Q&A session.

# of people who went to my Coaching Sales Page (Free Consultation):
48
# of people who booked a consultation...
0

# of dollars made so far?
0

Which is fine... I know I'm close.

So, I'd love more people to take me up on the consultation, because once I connect with someone, I deliver massive value, results, and benefits and they love me forever <grin>.

I'm considering:
-Being more specific and tangible with my sales-copy.
-My clients say "focus" is holding them back, but I've discovered that they can't focus because they have no defined problem or direction to focus in, so I'm currently developing a program to help them define, focus, and track progress.
-Making a new, more inspiring, more influential call-to-action video.

There's so much information out there, but I know I've got this :)

<grin> I saw you do that for Kalen :) There was tons of great advice in there, some of which I'll be using myself.

Awesome, Evan! I'm touched :) Thank you so much.

I'm really appreciative of your time, input, and engagement, and I'm looking forward to whatever feels awesome to implement :D

Aaaannnnnnd if you'll indulge a little peer-baiting...

Your wonderful offer may be better phrased as:

"Jason, I'll kinda-sorta-pick you apart in public, using your real name and website, so I hope you're cool with transparency -- aaaand I'm gonna take over youtube while I'm at it :)"

Well in fact, I am comfortable with all that and I'm looking forward to it - be gentle, Evan, it's my first time :P

lola.johnson wrote:My business is just a small part-time thing of graphic design. In short I do basic freelance work for people like logo designs, website layouts, prints, t-shirts, ect. It varies based on what people want and what I have time to do. I manage it on my own, which can be overwhelming at times, but the end result is that I do not have to pay anyone. When things pick up more I might hire people, but right now it’s just not necessary for the workload. Most of my business is online-based. Mostly through social networking sites since they are free and seem to be very effective for me.

That's awesome, Lola! Good for you :)

It's great to meet you here on these forums, everyone is awesome here :D

Sounds like you're off to a great start, keep it up!

P.S. No business is "just" a small part-time thing, all of them are valuable additions to the economy and we need every one of them. Thank you for taking steps and sharing your creations -- I'd love to hear you talk and act like it :D
