I outsource some lead generation for an affiliate program through a Co-op. This saves me time as I don't have to actively market and advertise to bring in the leads myself. It's important to note, however, that you need to use some discretion when choosing a particular co-op. In my case, the co-op is ran by one person, and I pay for each affiliate received, rather than a monthly fee paid to a firm with no guarantee of receiving any affiliates.

In the future I plan to outsource some article writing, which will be used for affiliate marketing and building backlinks to my website. Blog posts on my own blog, and guest blog posts are all written by me only. I like to have control over that content.

On the flip side, I have work outsourced to me as well. David was kind enough to mention about it above. Offering a freelance service gives me the joy of helping others. It's also nice to know that my service is needed and appreciated.

Jobs that usually require outsourcing are web & graphic design, writing/blogging, programming, marketing/sales, legal services, multimedia and finance.

Hey Chris,

How did you find your marketing team? I'm currently looking for an individual to help me market my website. Finding qualified and skilled individuals can be a difficult task. I'm currently searching resumes on Craiglist in the Phillipines as I heard this is a good place to start.

What are your suggestions, or do you know anyone looking for additional work?

Thanks!

Hello,

Good day!

I just started outsourcing a few months. It's just that my to-do-list has been too overwhelming and I just can't cope it up by myself. So I decided to outsource some of the marketing tasks to Filipino employees. So far, I'm glad with their work and it doesn't cost that much to hire them. :)

Managing my time has really been a problem for me. Good thing I met Susan Hobson, who is a time management/performance coach expert, and she helped me with this dilemma. We created a program that will allow you to start managing your time instead of letting it manage you. Check the URL below. I hope this will help you too.

Hello, Forum Members:

I've been seeing more talk again about Outsourcing (here in some EF topics, and elsewhere in other forums and social sites). This topic thread was started LONG ago, but the topic is still very relevant. So, let's revisit it!

* What do you outsource mostly, these days?

* What do you have better success with in outsourcing, and what outsourced services have not worked so well for you?

Hey GT,

I outsource almost all content creation. Writing takes up a good portion of my time, which I like to spend writing for my blog. I also do some writing for a client, so I'd prefer not to have to write articles for my own business that will be used for marketing purposes.

Content is the only thing I outsource currently, with some forum posting and blog commenting every now and then. I have an online friend do everything, so I haven't made use of any services or freelance sites.

Content is probably the most tedious tasks in SEO outsourcing, Alan. I can totally understand not using a freelance service because it's an unmanaged system. Typically I see two ways to outsource copy....

1. the freelance option - which you may end up spending more time editing the copy than the folks that wrote it. or 2. Use a outsource with a solid structure for content creation with Western management operating the business. This takes care of the extra work involved with managing freelancers.

Hi Rob,

As I mentioned above, I mainly outsource content to an online friend, and I occasionally outsource content to a very reliable freelancer who runs an article writing service which I found in the Warrior Forum. Both provide quality content that I usually go over just to touch things up a bit, but nothing major.

I totally agree that accounting is a great thing to outsource :) I crunch numbers all the time to compile estimates for clients and to keep the bills paid - that's enough numbers. I have someone that is a business partner who handles all the other bookkeeping and tax prep. Actually, we just turned the accounts info over to my accountant to finish my taxes. How great that all of that is done by the first week in February.

Chris

Yes, this is right! By outsourcing the tedious task of your accounting and bookkeeping, you can stay focused on management, revenue growth and profit maximization.

The first thing I "outsourced" for EvanCarmichael.com was some of my writing. I hired someone to create the famous entrepreneur profiles. She took on other responsibilities as well, became a full time contractor and she's still with me 5 years later!

I haven't really done much outsourcing apart from some articles from time to time and the distribution of my article to the various directories which I really don't have much time for, but I think in the near future I will need to consider doing a bit more as I find it really difficult to try and do everything myself.

@Evan: Your writer has done an awesome job on the Famous Entrepreneur profiles. A good example of how, when you find a dependable source, keep them and take care of them!

@Michelle: Like you, I have done very little outsourcing, but I know it is in my future somewhere along the line. I see it as a "Catch-22" situation: you need the income to justify hiring out, but you need to hire out (to a professional source) to get the income flowing.

Which comes first? The chicken or the egg?
