well in their case we didn't. Their job was to ask everyone who walked in the door, regardless if it had been asked before (that way if someone's had a bad day, they'll be asked the next time they came in) but if you were to tweak this idea for your own sales then yea, i'd probably follow up. I'm not a pushy salesman. never have been, never will be. But I do keep in contact with people. I think the best way to market and sell for any company is to not only keep at it, but to try lots of different techniques. I think that's something I like about marketing and sales overall... there is no perfect solution or magic combination..it differs with each business. Cold calling is just one solution of thousands. Newsletters, direct mail, cold calls, seminars, forums etc etc... all have their place.. but when combined, I think you have a greater chance of success. A lot of times failure in one area doesn't mean it doesn't work. It just means that it was approached wrong. So spin it around. Look at things from an opposite perspective and perhaps you'll find that it works.
