Setting Up an Affiliate Program

Postby litekepr » Mon Nov 17, 2008 6:54 pm

I've been looking at some affiliate site options and am leaning toward AWeber.com. Some of the reasons are because I would like to have my email service, my auto responder and y affiliate program all in one place. At this point, I can't justify $99 a month for some of the other options like 1 Shopping Cart and Kick Start Cart. I also would like the option to automatically download an ebook through their program once payment is made.

Anyone tried something that they really like that had a decent price and that was dependable??

I'd love to hear personal experiences from anyone who has used any of these or similar sites. I've also looked at Clickbank in the past and I'm using it with a new joint venture partner, but from what I've found it doesn't do all the things I want -- email service, auto responder and affiliate program.

Hi Shri,
I don't have my own affiliate program, but the service you described sounds good. I am looking forward to see what others have to say.

Hi Shri,

sorry I've no experience of using this but after a little digging around I found this:

http://www.1automationwiz.com/

Hope it helps as there doesn't seem to be many things out there that do it all. Maybe someone on here could get their thinking caps on :D

Take care,

Hi Shri, I'm curious... how would you you use it as an affiliate program? To keep track of your affiliates?

With Clickbank, you can run the sales through their site, with downloadable product, it is delivered to the buyer and from what I understand (need to research because I have another client today who wants a Clickbank program) they track sales and pay the affiliates. That's the majority of the work :)

Oh... I meant with aweber...

I'm curious because I have an aweber account and I'm not sure about the affiliate connection. They do have an affiliate program for the aweber product.

I'm also working on an eBook for clickbank and have yet to set up an account there. Which reminds me... I would like to get your latest promotions book! We have plans to produce a series of ebooks for a client (health related) over the next 2 years.

We're changing gears and careers!

I was just looking it over and I think you're right. Wish you weren't :) I sent a message just to make sure. I hate the idea of $99 a month- but I'm not sure there's an option. I know Clickbank handles downloadable products, but can you sell other items too?? Seems like I've looked through their affiliate programs and seen other products.

Getting a copy of my book is not a problem. The first promotional book is available - I'm still fining tuning the second - but the rough draft is done and I'm filling in some blanks and editing :) This is info on the first one - www.nikkileigh.com/book_promo_101.htm. If I can help in some way let me know :) Writing books is a big change :)

I've been looking at Clickbank and I'm thinking about going with that. Will keep you posted on the progress :)

Did you try it to sell products without a time limit?

Although the idea is nice and they only charge when you make a sale.

I would suggest you use clickbank instead spending $19 monthly on affiliate running program. With clickbank you can have even a wider affiliates.

I think others will still give you more direction.

Cheers!
