Persistence gives live to small business.

Postby topeyinka » Thu Oct 23, 2008 4:07 pm

While I was reading about the 10th year anniversary of google, I counted back 10 years and what I see was persistent. Every small business can grow big if we will be persistent. Persistent actually brings consistence. There is no business that cannot grow big if the owner will not be too haste to succeed. Hastiness has always been the bane of colapsed small business. Whatever you do as antergreneur keep at it and be innovative about it, you will soon be celebrating growth.

To me, there is no business that cannot grow be if persistence is employed.

Hi, Topeyinka:

I agree that persistence is vital to the success of a business. There are several important building blocks: desire, vision, skill, commitment, focus ... etc. But persistence is definitely one of the key qualities that can help make up for or strengthen other lesser qualities.

Hi Topeyinka,

You are right. Too many people give up too early... But persistence itself is neither a positive nor a negative quality... it is what you are persistent with that counts!

I heard a Success University speaker say something like:

"If you keep on doing more of what you are doing, you'll keep on getting more of what you've got!" 8)

So, if you don't like what you've got you'd better not persist!

Hi David,

Thank you for your response. I agreed with your post. It is not good to persist on what is not working indeed, but a man will not succeed in life if he/she is not persisted to succeed. I heard that the success of bulb we have today was done 1000 times before we could have it now. So if the inventor did not persist, it wmight come through.

Anyone can have ideas, dreams or vision what makes them scale through is ability to persist on it. Like my friend (wizzymi) will always say, ideas is not enough, but persistence will let it manifest.

Hi topeyinka,

Actually, you have started a good thread here.
I have seen alot of people that have started good business but failed to continue due to lack of persistence. What my granny always taught then was that there is no business you want to do that has not been done before but what makes one to stand other fall is the persistent of the owners. She did give me examples of her mates that they did same business alike then but quit because they could not endure the heaps of the business, she said despite what she went through, she could scale through because she was persisited.

Several times, my granny had given task in business to see if I would backed out. This training is keeping standing today that there is business that cannot grow big if we continue it through innovatives and persist to succeed.

It is good to have ideas but you will not be persisted with your ideas, you might found out that ideas is not enough.

Thank you.

cheers!

Very true - its like the saying that you can't expect new results if you keep doing the same thing.

I agree that persistence can be negative or positive - the value of what we're persistent about helps determine whether our persistence is a good thing or a waste of our time. Most of us feel that our ideas are "gold" but over time we need to be honest with ourselves about whether the idea deserves to be pursued or if we need to re-evaluate.
