To any young people doing this, as a parent of grown children, I would only say, respect the privilege. Treat your parents well; pull your weight with the household duties and with household expenses. Your parents worked hard and they deserve a break. If you chose to live at home, go easy on them. (Rant over.)
Of course, the parents could also choose to stop cooking with cheese.(Reference to a cheese commercial on television.)

You should really watch Will Ferrell's comedy "Stepbrothers"It's essentially about 2 middle aged men living with their parents who are eventually forced to get jobs, so they can finally move out. More importantly, they end up trying their hand at entrepreneurship, haha!

... Freedom is never absolute in this contingent world. But I am free to promote, or pull the plug on, my business as I like and when I like... However, any decision I make out of my own free choice has implications that place constraints on that freedom. Oh what a fascinating dichotomy!

I like this idea. Working for yourself means you are investing in your own future, not someone else's, although there is value in working for someone else first to gain experience and confidence.
Working for yourself does not automatically mean success, fame and fortune. For most entrepreneurs, it takes much work and dedication to get to the point of financial success and comfort - sometimes years. But the benefit is, again, you know you are investing in yourself and building equity for your own future.
