I like #6 and #7: Train Them and Coach Them
I realize that most companies these days do have a training and support program, but still, I think greater emphasis should be placed on training and coaching. And not just sending the sales people off to courses, but on the job training, coaching and analysis with an eye towards helping the individual improve. (As opposed to the traditional method of "analysis with an eye towards firing the individual!" lol)
