Update to Definitive Guide to Blog Marketing

Postby goalrevolution » Tue Jan 20, 2009 4:00 pm

I recently read and implemented Zeke Camusio's exceptional advice for marketing your blog. Here is some information that might save you some time...

The list included some free submission sites that no longer exist, changed to a fee-based structure, are having technical difficulties, or are no longer accepting new blog submissions. They are: blogernity, bloghub, britblog, findingblog, geekyspeaky, iblogbusiness, weblogreview.

An updated submission list is...

http://www.blog-search.com/, http://www.blogarama.com/, http://www.blogbunch.com/, http://www.blogcatalog.com/, http://www.blogcode.com/, http://www.blogexplosion.com/, http://www.blogflux.com/, http://www.bloghop.com/, http://www.bloglisting.net/, http://www.blogrankings.com/, http://www.blogtoplist.com/, http://www.getblogs.com/, http://www.globeofblogs.com/, http://www.lsblogs.com/, http://myblog2u.com/, http://www.quickblogdirectory.com/, http://sportsblogs.org/, http://www.weblogalot.com/, and http://www.dmoz.org.

Hope this is helpful.

Hi, Bill:

Thanks for taking the time to provide this update - very helpful.

I'll just add a couple of ping services for EC members to consider. I use these to ping each new Web Bizz Blog post I make:

- http://www.ipings.com/ ipings.com
- http://autopinger.com/ autopinger.com
- http://www.pingmyblog.com/ pingmyblog.com

These services will ping numerous sites, as you will see. Generally, I use the first one, taking note of which pings were successful; then ping the second site, sending pings only to those not covered in the first site; then do the same with the third one.

GT :)
