A little advice please

Hi Members,

I have just been trying to paste the PHP version of my EC author badge onto my website (Wordpress) and it refuses to display. The IFrame code displays but even then it is a bit clipped as only about three quarters of the box actually appears,

I gather that the PHP code is the preferred one but was wondering if any of you had similar problems and would appreciate your advice on a possible cause/solution ?

Hi Mal - sorry to hear you're having trouble!

Your blog sidebar might be limited in width and cutting it off - try one of the smaller sizes to see if it makes a difference.

I don't have the EC Author badge on my site yet, but I do have the EC Blog Network widget and I had a problem with the php version. I couldn't get it to work on my WP site, so I installed the Iframe code instead.

If you want to try it with your EC Author badge, log into your EC Author account, and click on the link that says "Click here for more options" (below the section where you copy the PHP code). That will take you to a page that gives you the option of either PHP or Iframe.

I realize that PHP is preferred, but until I learn more about PHP, I will have to stick with the Iframe. To install the PHP, I wonder if we have to go into a different editing section in our WP admin? Perhaps into: Appearance >> Editor >> then one of the "Templates" down the right side?

When I installed the EC Blog Network widget, I went to WP admin >> Appearance >> Widgets >> and put the code inside my Recommended Resources widget.

I feel a little better knowing that it is not me, LOL. I will keep trying the PHP GT and if I can't get it to display then I will stick to the IFrame version and try to adjust the size as you suggest Evan, thanks guys,

I remember having a similar problem with my badge on an HTML site and didn't get around to resolving it.

I hope you find a solution for WP soon - that would also prompt me to try again - and maybe other WP users too.

I just checked, and I'm using the IFrame code for my Wordpress blog. I think that should work out for you.
