I completely agree. It has to be a decent idea, but then it takes user feedback, adjusting, plenty of focused action and a ton of belief and persistence!

Marketing is sometimes a big thing, too. If you can promote it effectively and it catches on, then momentum carries it the rest of the way.

But sometimes it's just the right idea at the right time and nothing in the world is going to stop it. Never mind promotion, the creators are simply challenged to keep up with the growth and demand.
